![]() It will not delete data until you confirm update after version check. Then all you can do, as you are no doubt aware, is check what windows version you are on for compatibility, uninstall and reinstall or check on another device with sd slot. I now have the updated map and the NAV menu is in English again. updated as per toolbox process - completed successfully.copy again those 2 folders on the SD (it is now 4GB instead of 15GB?!).copy all the visible content of the SD on your laptop (2 folders - content & licence).do a backup of the SD card just in case (better safe than sorry).During installation there was not enough space. Took the SD out again, installed the backup and everything went back to english again.Īny clue here?! - trying to do it again from scratch this morning as yesterday ended up at 2am in the garageįor some reasons my SD started as 15GB out of 30GB. Put the SD back in the car and - all system is in english - map guide voice is in english - the NAV menu only is in. had to format it - install the backup - then update (this update was not downloaded as already on my pc? went straight to the install phase) - installed successfully.first attempt of install of new map on existing SD returns an error at 93% as the SD card is full to the brim.I thought it was some kind of massive typo.Updating the SD to the DEC21 release. I was puzzled by the hardcopy owner's manual and the online owner's manual that not only does not have an index listing for the Nav system but oddly has NO listing of any topic starting with the letter N. The Navigation Guide, however does not have instructions for map updates. I also downloaded the "Navigation Guide" into the "My Mazda" phone app which brings it up under "Guides" with the tab "Mazda Connect". This online source of information may have been communicated to me at the time of purchase but I don't remember that instruction. I know you and the others in this thread's earlier posts know all this but I am being detailed for those future thread readers that didn't know (like me). I now see the information that is available online at the "Mazda HandsFree and Mazda Connect Support" " via "Mazda Connect and Navigation for my 2020 Miata GT This has a great deal of good information including a link to how to update the maps. The incorrect 7th generation app - MazdaUpdateToolbox.exe has a very different appearance. When you run the CORRECT version which is tbagent.exe it looks like app open in the picture. Please uninstall it and installed the correct version from the links I gave you. then you have installed the WRONG version. Which contains the binary MazdaUpdateToolbox.exe You can edit it to point to the correct binary, tbagent.exe to fix the start menu, or you can just open the binary directly in explorer, or create your own shortcut to it on the desktop.Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Mazda Update toolbox If you right click on the Mazda Toolbox shortcut in that folder and click on properties, it should look like the window open at the bottom of the pic below. You can right click on the Start Menu entry, then click on ' More', then ' open file location' and it will open the folder containing the shortcut the Start menu uses to open the application. The shortcut itself that is used to open the binary is installed in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\ Start Menu\Programs\Mazda and is called Mazda Toolbox. When you run it from the start menu, the start menu is just calling a shortcut which opens that binary I listed (on win10 at least) The binary is C:\Program Files (x86)\Mazda\Toolbox\tbagent.exe The application is NOT called toolbox.exe Did you install from the exact link I listed above?
